Neal Lynch (pictured above, in the middle) is a husky Irish-Italian-American, born in Toms River, New Jersey in November 1980. Neal’s family moved a lot, living in 10 different locations before he graduated from college:

After graduating from Notre Dame High School in Lawrence Township, NJ, Neal received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Film & Media Studies and his Master of Arts degree in Communication from Johns Hopkins University.

In September 2004, Neal started his career as a Marketing Assistant for New Video Group, home video distributor for A&E, The History Channel, Broadway Video, Scholastic, Docurama, and Major League Baseball.

After helping MLB Home Video release their best-selling DVD set The Boston Red Sox 2004 World Series Collector’s Edition, Neal joined D S Simon as a Sales & Marketing Assistant in August 2005. While there, Neal provided support for production services including video news releases (VNR), audio news releases (ANR), satellite media tours (SMT), radio media tours (RMT), and b-roll packages for news outlets and press relations.

In March 2006, Neal was hired as an Ad Sales Assistant at Heavy.com and supported the company’s top salesperson (VP of Ad Sales on West Coast) before becoming one of the first members of a newly formed Branded Entertainment division in 2007. He was responsible for generating ideas around sponsorship and brand integration opportunities, in addition to finding the right fit for advertisers looking to reach and connect with Heavy’s network of sites.

Following mass layoffs at Heavy in June 2008, Neal signed on as a Marketing Services Manager at Playboy Enterprises, Inc.

While at COED, Neal authored 1,100+ blog posts that generated millions of page views. His efforts increased daily page views by 300% and daily unique visitors by 100% year-over-year.

His time with COED took him to Las Vegas and St. Vincent island in the Caribbean. He met Kate Upton but didn’t get a picture. Also called New York Giants tight end Jake Ballard Bear Pascoe, which, as a Giants fan, is unforgivable.

From March 2017 – November 2018, Neal worked as a freelance contractor for the Video Content Operations department at Condé Nast Entertainment where he optimized, uploaded, scheduled, and published videos for Architectural Digest, Bon Appétit, Condé Nast Traveler, Epicurious, Golf Digest, and W Magazine. Neal’s insights led to record growth in views, subscribers, engagement, retention, and ad revenue.

The New York Post hired Neal as a temporary freelance contractor in November 2018 to revamp their YouTube content strategy and manage their YouTube channels, including re-launching Page Six. His data-driven strategies resulted in record increases in views, subscribers, average view duration / audience retention, watch time, and ad revenue.

In November 2019, Neal became the first Senior Manager of YouTube Content Operations and Video Distribution for the Brand Services team at Fullscreen Media, overseeing the optimization and distribution of thousands of videos per month for 30+ clients including HBO, USA Network, NBC News, and A+E Networks. His work led to record-breaking KPIs.

After Fullscreen’s parent company, WarnerMedia, conducted mass layoffs in November 2020 and shut down Fullscreen in February 2021, Neal was hired to be the Website Manager at SportsNet New York (SNY) — broadcast home of the New York Mets. From November 2020 – March 2022, Neal helped with website and content optimization that resulted in weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual records in visitors, followers, subscribers, views, and revenue.

In June 2022, Recurrent Ventures hired Neal to be the Director of Social Media Video Programming for Donut Media‘s Facebook page with plans to expand his scope to Snapchat, Instagram, and other platforms. Recurrent conducted mass layoffs in September 2022.

Hearst Television hired Neal in November 2022 to be the Content Strategy & Programming Analyst for Very Local, their streaming app. Total minutes watched and average minutes watched per play nearly doubled because of his programming strategy and data insights. In August 2024, Very Local conducted mass layoffs.
