Last weekend, I watched an uncensored version of the original on Comedy Central and I re-discovered why I love the film so fervently and why I got into screenwriting in the first place. This article is to take back my pride in the original release and to offer up ways the series could’ve progressed that would have ultimately transformed its reputation. Think of it as a valuable demonstration that will hopefully serve as a map for studios looking to extend a film’s profitability without sacrificing quality.
