Complex magazine’s blog post calls attention to the fake movie trailers created for promoting Chuck Palahniuk’s new book on the adult film industry, “Snuff.”
You know that old adage, “sex sells?” Well, consider me sold. I’m surprised more publishers don’t use cheesy mock adult film trailers to promote their books. I’m sure DICKens could’ve used a flashy, hard-hitting sizzle reel for a Tale of Two Cities calling it, “A Tale of Two Objects of Which Provide Life, Liberty, and Calcium To Offspring.” And a short, 30 second TV spot probably could help out Jesus and his groundbreaking, still-under-the-radar book, The Bible.
