You might remember I showed you “The View” an awe-inspiring supercut that featured a collection of perspective shots from behind a character or characters looking out at an amazing landscape or view. The supercut’s creator Zach Prewitt has just released his second exclusive supercut to Dailymotion – this time titled, “DRIVE”. It features a compilation of POV shots culled from numerous car chase scenes, taken from either behind, inside, or in front of the vehicle. The song you hear is Hans Zimmer’s “Mombasa” from the Inception Soundtrack.
I know I’ve said this before, but it bears repeating – to the lesser trained eye (or mind) supercuts might seem like the same camera shot or line of dialogue or action sequence over and over again. But, there’s a great deal of consideration, time, and effort that goes into these prolific editing portfolios, especially those stitched together by Zach.
Personally, I don’t know his process, but his wealth of knowledge and application of said knowledge is remarkable. I mean, if you don’t feel like buying, renting, or stealing a high-powered vehicle after watching this, you’re a zombie ginger or ginger zombie and you need to be quarantined, possibly executed. JK, I’m actually part ginger (only when I grow a beard) and I have a soul (stole it from a zombie).
