Hey. Neal Lynch here. This was my full length stand-up comedy set at Metropolitan Room on Friday, September 19th, 2014. I told jokes about the YO! app, new hybrid words I’ve created, my relationship issues as sung by Ariana Grande, inappropriate Chris Brown songs at 16 Handles, Adrian Peterson and more.
I really don’t have any feedback or takeaways from this one other than the obvious: bringer shows suck. Sure, I need to tell better jokes without tripping over my tongue, but I’m really amazed by people that straight up don’t laugh for 2 hours. TWO HOURS and you don’t find anything funny? Who are you? What are you doing at a comedy show? Get out there and spread your drama where it’s needed most.
I mixed in some “proven” material with some new stuff and got mostly crickets. I always seem to have 1 guy cracking up. As long as that one guy keeps on laughin’, I’ll keep on keeping on.
Come out tomorrow (Saturday, 10/4) at 3pm to Pier 13 in Hoboken, NJ to see me perform in a charity fundraiser for the Liberty Humane Society. The organizer said rain or shine. It’s supposed to MONSOON. So, we’ll see how that works out as I dodge lightning bolts.
Also, Tuesday, October 21st “Rising Stars” showcase at Eastville Comedy Club. Stars don’t rise, they shooooooot. To receive FREE tickets, please EMAIL reservations to reservation@eastvillecomedy.com.
Thanks to Andy Engel, Michael Codispoti, and everyone who came out to support me.
