My First Ever Stand Up Set

This was my first official stand up set ever. It took place at the Gotham Comedy Club in New York City on January 9th, 2013. The performance was my graduation from the 6-week class at the Manhattan Comedy School.

I had to cut a bunch of material – most of which was about online dating. I’m tentatively scheduled to perform again on February 20th in one of the two talent showcases at Gotham, so it’s possible those “jokes” will make it into that set.

For the record, I really was sick (still am) with some kind of mysterious flu/cold/virus/bug that needs to start paying rent. The lady whom I anointed the winner of the C-sucking competish initially looked shocked but then kinda accepted it then looked sort of honored. Her boyfriend… NOT happy. Neither was her father/uncle.

After watching this video, I was also reminded that I am balding big time. I need to stop looking down.

If anyone has any feedback, I welcome it with open arms and I promise not to hump it.

Many thanks to MCS Founder Andy Engel, talent showcase host Harrison Greenbaum, my no-nonsense, balls-to-the-wall teacher Cory Kahaney, my fellow classmates, and the many friends who came out in support.

Cross one off the bucket list. Next up – landing a recurring role on HBO’s “Girls” and taking that show DOWN from the inside out. Some men just want to watch the world burn.
