About Neal Lynch

Neal Lynch (pictured above, in the middle) is a husky Irish-Italian-American, born in Toms River, New Jersey in 1980. He grew up everywhere — Long Beach Island, NJ, Smithville, NJ, Lawrenceville, NJ, Sea Girt, NJ, Scituate, MA, Westwood, MA, Lenoir, NC, Cranston, RI, Hopewell, NJ, and Manasquan, NJ — and have lived in Baltimore, MD, Brielle, NJ, Hoboken, NJ (for 10 years), and Weehawken, NJ. You can probably look up where I live now and stalk me but there’s a good chance I’d end up stalking you.

After graduating from Notre Dame High School in Lawrenceville, NJ, I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Film & Media Studies (useless) and my Master of Arts degree in Communications (even more useless) from The Johns Hopkins University (useful school for doctors and lacrosse players).

From there, I worked at a bunch of places you’ve never heard of then at Playboy where I traveled to Austin, TX (for SXSW), Tallahassee, FL, College Park, MD, and Miami, FL (Girls of the ACC Tour), Austin, TX, and Scottsdale / Tempe, AZ (Top Party Schools Tour), Boston, MA (for CollegeFest), Boulder, CO (Campus Cutie Sweepstakes Halloween Party), Chicago, IL (Lollapalooza Rockstar Brunch), Las Vegas, NV (for Playmate of the Year Party) and Los Angeles, CA to party with Playmates (I never hooked up with them). Ask me if I’ve been to the Mansion, I love telling that story (nothing happened). Set the record for most times Friend Zoned.

My department at Playboy was outsourced to American Media, Inc., publisher of UFC, WWE, and Men’s Fitness magazines. I almost moved to Chicago but didn’t.

So, I was hired as Managing Editor at COED Magazine then promoted to Editor-in-Chief less than a year later. As part of my job, I went to Vegas and St. Vincent island in the Caribbean. I met Kate Upton but didn’t get a picture. Also called New York Giants tight end Jake Ballard Bear Pascoe, which, as a Giants fan, is unforgivable.

Here are the sites I’ve written for:

BroBible – 300+ blog posts generated more than 3 million page views

GMenHQ (New York Giants blog)

NFL Spin Zone – 180 articles generated 1.4 million page views

GuySpeed – 300+ blog posts that generated more than 3 million pageviews

COED Magazine – 1,100+ blog posts generated millions of page views. Increased daily page views by 300% and daily unique visitors by 100%

As a wannabe screenwriter, I’ve written three feature-length screenplays with a fourth in the works.

For four years, Neal worked as a Content Partnerships Manager at Dailymotion (“The French YouTube”), recruiting, on-boarding, and guiding video creators and publishers to get DOZENS of views. While with the video platform, Neal traveled to Paris, Montreux Switzerland (for the Montreux Comedy Festival)…

…Ibiza Spain, Austin, TX (for SXSW), Santa Monica, CA (for LA Podcast Festival), Los Angeles, CA (for Comedy Gives Back charity fundraiser live stream), Anaheim, CA (for VidCon), and Louisville, KY aka Allergy City (for Louisville Comedy Festival).

I did stand-up comedy off and on for four years, performing at Gotham Comedy Club, Stand Up NY, New York Comedy Club, EastVille Comedy Club, Greenwich Village Comedy Club, WOW Comedy Night at The Shannon in Hoboken, The Clayton Fletcher Show, Bomb Shelter Comedy at the GAF West, and the Hoboken Comedy Festival. I’ve also produced stand-up comedy shows at EastVille and earned a development spot at Broadway Comedy Club.

For 20 months, I worked as a freelance contractor for the Video Content Operations department at Condé Nast Entertainment where I uploaded, scheduled, optimized, and published videos for Architectural Digest, Bon Appétit, Condé Nast Traveler, Epicurious, Golf Digest, and W Magazine.

The New York Post hired me as a temporary freelance contractor to revamp their YouTube content strategy and manage their YouTube channels, including re-launching Page Six.

I was the Senior Manager, Content Operations and Distribution for the Brand Services team at Fullscreen Media, overseeing the optimization and distribution of thousands of videos per month for 30+ clients including HBO, USA Network, NBC News, and A+E Networks.

As the Website Manager at SportsNet New York (SNY) — broadcast home of the New York Mets — from November 2020 – March 2022, I helped with content optimization and tried to fix their very broken website.

In June 2022, Recurrent Ventures hired me to be the Director of Video Programming for Donut Media.

Hearst Television hired me in November 2022 to be the Content Strategy & Programming Analyst for Very Local, their streaming app.
